YOMI FABIYI LEADS PROTEST AGAINST BABA IJESHA'S DETENTION

    Nigerian actor and activist, Yomi Fabiyi has led some other Nigerians in a protest to Panti Police Station against detention of colleague, Olanrewaju James Omiyinka popularly known as Baba Ijesha who has been accused of defiling a 7 year old girl.

  The Nollywood actor and other protesters marched from Casino Bus Stop to Panti Police Station on Wednesday demanding that Baba Ijesha be released from detention pending when his case is heard in a court. Yomi also described Baba Ijesha detention as “illegal”.

    Written on the placards and banners carried by the protesters are inscriptions such as ‘denial of bail of bail of bailable offence is human rights violation’, ‘Nigeria police, please allow the law to dictate to you, not Iyabo Ojo, Princess and co’, ‘release Baba Ijesha’, and ‘Nigeria police must respect human rights and honour bail for bailable offence’,
