Veteran Nollywood actress, Eucharia Anunobi was recently conferred with a PhD and friends including industry colleagues were at the ceremony to show support for the legendary screen goddess.  Eucharia gave her defense after which she was decorated in her academic regalia while being addressed by the Chairman of the ceremony. Friends, fans and colleagues congratulated the role interpreter while many talked about how they missed seeing her on screens.

     English singer and songwriter, Edward Christopher Sheeran popularly known As Ed Sheeran has revealed that his 9-months-old daughter, Lyra is not a fan of his music as she cries every time she hears his music but she likes "Shape of you" because of its marimba sound, stating that she dislikes any other song that appears loud.     The globally renowned and entertaining singer who would have thought his music was good enough for his own blood finds it weird that his daughter is not even a fan of his music.      He made this known in an interview on  BBC Radio 1, noting that she just cries when he plays his music. He said  "Now I'll sing to my daughter, who's not my biggest fan. She just cries,"

     Following the long term drama between actresses, Toyin Abraham and Lizzy Anjorin, a warning has emerged from Toyin admonishing her fans to stop fighting on her behalf  saying  she would not be held responsible for any of her fans who fights her colleagues,  also advising her colleagues to to take legal action against their bullies and follow the matter to a logical end.     She also noted that  she 'strongly suspects that some people are benefiting from this back and forth, hence, the continuous fueling of this tiring drama'.      American singer, songwriter and actress,  Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, professionally known as Lady Gaga has revealed how she got raped and became pregnant at 19 by a music producer early in her career.      Lady Gaga    made the revelation during an interview in Oprah Winfrey’s “The Me You Can’t See on Apple TV”,  stating that her body went numb as a result of burying the pain. She also  said she froze and blacked out immediately after the record producer allegedly threatened to torch her tunes if she didn't take off her clothes, describing the  experience as one of the darkest moments of her life. She added that she had a psychotic break after the sexual assault as the producer locked her up in a studio for several months  before he finally dropped her off on a corner near her parents’ house after many months of abuse.  According to her,  “I felt a lot of pain when the person who raped me dropped me off pregnant on a corner, at my parent’s house, after months of abuse

     Veteran yoruba actor and President of the Association of Nigeria Theatre Practitioners (ANTP), Adewale Elesho has finally broken his silence and intervened in the Baba Ijesha's case of sexual assault and  child molestation.      Elesho appealed to Princess to have mercy on Ijesha and not to let the matter escalate into something bigger noting that  the case is already getting out of hand. He started by thanking everyone for lending their voices to the case and then proceeded to plead with Princess to  consider Baba Ijesha's state of health and have mercy on him.

Music artiste, Davido has placed a ban on his 30BG crew members from his luxurious private jet, going by the video he shared while on a trip with the gang on the jet.  In the video clip, he was heard saying that he would no longer let them get on the jet and he would only admit at most five people. It appears the singer has finally placed a restriction on the number of people who have access to the jet.

     Celebrity couple, Clifford Joseph Harris Jr also known as T.I and Tiny Harris  are under investigation following sexual assault and drugging allegations levelled against them by over 15 women.      The  Los Angeles Police Department met with one of the  accusers identified publicly as  Jane Doe and their probe has been opened up since April.      According to Jane, she claimed she fell ill after consuming Tiny’s tequila drink at a hotel before engaging in unwanted sexual acts with the couple.     I t has been over 15 women who have come out to accuse the rapper and his wife  of coercing them into comprising sexual situations involving drugs and money following  couple's estranged friend  Sabrina Peterson  who  first made the allegations and has now compiled a series of messages she claimed she received from alleged victims on Instagram but T.I and  his wife have continued to deny all the allegations levelled against them.

     B arely a few hours after the news broke of alleged child molester, Olanrewaju James Omiyinka popularly known as Baba Ijesha's release on bail,  on health grounds , comedian and foster  mother of the molested child took to her Instagram page on Monday, May 17, 2021 and reacted to the disgraced actor's release. She made a post with the caption,  "I will win not immediately but definitely,"  after the actor  was granted bail on Monday, May 17, 2021. According to his lawyer,  Adesina Ogunlana  while speaking to Punch,  “He has been granted bail about one hour ago. We are working to perfect the bail. He was granted bail on health grounds. He has not been released. He will be released after his bail conditions have been met,”  

     Davido celebrated his first daughter, Imade Adeleke with first babymama, Sophia Momodu on her 6th birthday  on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at the exclusive Banana Island, Lagos. The party was attended by the kids of some celebrities like   Patoranking  and  Tiwa Savage .      The Coachella Themed party was beautifully and tastefully decorated and there was  so much fun, food, drinks and entertainment for the kids. The superstar dad also gifted Imade a Range Rover SUV and a pink Dior Saddle bag allegedly worth N1.5m as birthday gift.        A video however surfaced online which captured moment Davido encouraged Jamil during the party. The celebrant was driving alone in her toy car around the party venue when a male kid spotted her and wanted to join her in the ride.  Seeing this, Davido instantly called out to Jamil to follow his wife.  "Jamil follow her o, Jamil follow your wife ." he said.

     Popular Nigerian music artiste and Project Fame West Africa winner, Chidinma Ekile, who recently turned to a gospel artiste and an evangelist has made it her mission to win souls for Christ and she is not relenting in taking  her evangelism to the street  as a video of her preaching the gospel in yoruba to men at a beer parlour has surfaced on her Instagram page.      The "Kedike" crooner won the heart of the men at a beer parlour for Christ as she was able to convince them to live in Christ after which she led them in prayers.      Apart from her confidence in preaching the gospel,  what amazed many was that she spoke with the men in fluent Yoruba despite being Igbo. She also stated the she is not ashamed of her salvation and Christianity while preaching.

    Popular Nigerian singer, Olanrewaju Fasasi, also known as Sound Sultan has been reportedly diagnosed with throat cancer and has since  commenced chemotherapy in one of the hospitals in the  United States of America. Fans and colleagues of the "jagbajantis" crooner have since taken to social media to pray for him since the news of his illness broke out.

    Nigerian actor and activist, Yomi Fabiyi has led some other Nigerians in a protest to  Panti Police Station against detention of colleague,  Olanrewaju James Omiyinka popularly known as  Baba Ijesha who has been accused of defiling a 7 year old girl.    The Nollywood actor and other protesters marched from Casino Bus Stop to Panti Police Station on Wednesday demanding that Baba Ijesha be released from detention pending when his case is heard in a court.  Yomi also described Baba Ijesha detention as “illegal”.      Written on the placards and banners carried by the protesters are inscriptions such as ‘denial of bail of bail of bailable offence is human rights violation’, ‘Nigeria police, please allow the law to dictate to you, not Iyabo Ojo, Princess and co’, ‘release Baba Ijesha’, and ‘Nigeria police must respect human rights and honour bail for bailable offence’,

     Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo has slammed those judging and mocking her for going against Baba Ijesha  and also reiterated that she will not back down from the child molestation case against the actor until justice is served.      In the video she shared on her Instagram page on Monday, May 10, 2021, Iyabo berated the mentality of Nigerians who accused her of crying more than the bereaved in the child molestation case. According to her, the government is not the problem with Nigeria but the citizens. In her words; ''I use to think the government was the problem in this country but I have to understand that we are our own problem.     Investigation is ongoing following the release of a video showing South African rapper, Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, popularly known as AKA breaking down a door while trying to get to his  late fiancée,  Nelli Tembe during a fight in their  Bryanston apartment.      Tembe's friend revealed to the media that the rapper physically abused his late fiancée several times in their relationship, adding that  Tembe told her that AKA smashed her face against a wall during a fight.      According to her friend, Tembe said she locked herself in the bedroom afterwards but the rapper broke the door to get to her. The friend said Tembe recorded her rapper fiance breaking down the door.       While narrating to  News24,  the friend said;  "She then sent me the video of the attack. AKA is so violent in the video that he breaks down the door of the room that Anele had locked herself in, whilst escaping his blows, with his bare hands. This is an attack that I want women to be shielded from,"

     Davido has got people talking on social media for correcting his second daughter, Hailey who tried to twerk to entertain her guests at her birthday party.
