TENI BEATS UP ODUNLADE ADEKOLA IN NEW MOVIE, "DEAR AFFY"

Nigerian music artiste, Teniola Apata, popularly known as "Teni the Entertainer" has taken her entertainment career to the next level with acting. The "Billionaire" crooner has made her acting debut in a new movie titled "Dear Affy".

The movie which was directed by Nollywood director and talent manager, Samuel Olatunji tells the story of an organized, female art enthusiast, about to marry the man of her dreams but life suddenly scuttles her well-laid out plans as she accidentally ‘falls’ pregnant. She embarks on a challenging mission to locate who the father of the unborn baby is since she and her fiance have chosen celibacy while courting.

Teniola who got her acting experience on "Dear Affy" acted alongside Eyinna Nwigwe, Toyin Abraham, Chinedu Ikedieze, Odunlade Adekola, Hafeez Oyetoro, Mawuli Gavor, Charles Inojie, Kehinde Bankole, Bimbo Ademoye, Chiwetalu Agu, Jide Kosoko, Bimbo Akintola, Williams Uchemba, Deyemi Okanlawon, Kolawole Ajeyemi, Ali Nuhu, Uzee Usman, Lizzy Jay, Anto Lecky and Uzor Arukwe. The movie is scheduled for a cinema release on February 14, 2020.

SHAKIRA WINS TWO AWARDS AT THE 2019 BILLBOARD LATIN MUSIC AWARDS

Colombian music star, Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll, popularly known as Shakira has won two Billboard Latin Music Awards out of the four nominations she received. Shakira won the  Top Latin Albums Artist, Female and Latin Pop Artist, Solo to her recognition. Other nominees under the Top Latin Albums Artist, Female category were Rosalía, Mon Laferte and Karol G. Meanwhile the Latin Pop Artist, Solo included Enrique Iglesias, Marco Antonio Solis and Sebastián Yatra. Alhough, the mother of two was unable to make it due to health reasons, according to her Instagram stories, she took to the app to thank her fans and her team with a post celebrating her win.
