"BEING IN NIGERIA IS A LIFE-CHANGING EXPERIENCE" - POWER ACTOR, ROTIMI

                                    


Rotimi Akinosho, simply called Rotimi arrived Nigeria on Friday, November 15, 2019 and he has described his visit as a life-changing experience for him. He wrote this on his twitter page days after his arrival.
“Being in Nigeria is a life-changing experience. It’s important to go home. A country filled with Kings & Queens,” he wrote on his Twitter days after arriving in Nigeria.




The "Love Riddim" crooner also clarified that he has been singing long before he took the role in "Power". Rotimi who stars as Andre Coleman in "Power" says the TV show was his discovery phase as it gave him the opportunity to showcase his acting abilities.

Though ‘Power’ remains his claim to fame, the entertainer revealed that he appeared on Eddie Murphy’s ‘Coming 2 America’ and other TV series such as Copper & Stone’, ‘Battle Creek’, ‘Betrayal’, and ‘Law and Order: Special Victims Unit as a guest star.
He has also featured in films like ‘Divergent’, a short film including, ‘Darkest Before Dawn’ and feature films like ‘Black Nativity,’ ‘Imperial Dreams,’ ‘Burning Sands,’ ‘Deuces’, and ‘Acts of Violence’.

SHAKIRA WINS TWO AWARDS AT THE 2019 BILLBOARD LATIN MUSIC AWARDS

Colombian music star, Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll, popularly known as Shakira has won two Billboard Latin Music Awards out of the four nominations she received. Shakira won the  Top Latin Albums Artist, Female and Latin Pop Artist, Solo to her recognition. Other nominees under the Top Latin Albums Artist, Female category were Rosalía, Mon Laferte and Karol G. Meanwhile the Latin Pop Artist, Solo included Enrique Iglesias, Marco Antonio Solis and Sebastián Yatra. Alhough, the mother of two was unable to make it due to health reasons, according to her Instagram stories, she took to the app to thank her fans and her team with a post celebrating her win.
