Nigeria's media mogul and movie producer, Mo Abudu who was elected as a director of the International Academy of Television, Arts and Sciences has been chosen to chair the 47th International Emmy Awards Gala slated for November 25th, 2019 in New York. The announcement was made in an Instagram post on Tuesday and the film producer also took to her Instagram page to share the good news. "Am I A Yahoo Boy" crooner, Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley who recently regained his freedom has taken to social media to  share his prison experience and has also vowed to help other defenseless inmates. After he was released, he engaged with his fans on social media sharing some of the things he discovered in prison on his Instastory.  He also stated that he cannot singlehandedly change the situation of things in the country but with joint effort, the change can happen. He wrote, "I have to help a lot of ni**gas I met in jail. I met one guy, he has been in jail for 9 years, never been to the court, as in they haven't even found him guilty. What if he is not even guilty? I met another nigga in jail. Been in jail for over two years because he was in a relationship with one rich woman's daughter and the woman locked him up for not leaving her daughter," .

Embattled singer, Naira Marley has finally been released on bail after meeting up with the conditions for bail 14 days after his court appearance. Recall that Naira Marley appeared before Justice Nicolas Oweibo of the Federal High Court, Lagos on Thursday, May 30, 2019,  and he was granted bail on the conditions of; a N2,000,000 bond, and two sureties, one with a landed property and the other, a Civil Servant, not lower than a level 10 officer. Naira Marley was arrested on Friday, May 10, 2019, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) alongside Zlatan Ibile, Rahman Jago, Guccy Branch and one other person over fraud related charges. Although, Zlatan Ibile and the others were freed few days later, Naira Marley remained in the EFCC's custody until he was granted bail.

The Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos has granted popular Nigerian artiste, Naira Marley bail  in the sum of  N2 million.  At the bail application, Naira  Marley's  lead defense counsel, Olalekan Ojo,  apologized for his absence on May 20,  at  the initial arraignment due to heavy down poor. Ojo also pleaded with the court to accept the bail application Prima Facie based on the presumption of his innocence in accordance with Section 162 (1) and that a liberal approach should be taken in hearing the bail application. The prosecution counsel, Rotimi Oyedepo however, made it clear that it is the final judgment that mattered and not the temporary release of Naira Marley. He also implored the court to grant accelerated hearing rather than bail stating that Naira Marley's actions and inactions have a multiplier effect on youths in the entire fede...

Omoniyi Temidayo popularly known as Zlatan Ibile has taken to his Instagram page to send an emotional message to his friend, Naira Marley who is still in EFCC custody. It should be recalled that Zlatan was arrested alongside Naira Marley and four others a few weeks ago by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for cyber crime. However, while Zlatan and the others were released a few days after, Naira Marley was arraigned before a Federal High Court in Ikoyi. Zlatan posted a video which he captioned with an emotional message; He captions; "People can hate and judge! But can never change GOD’s plan concerning ones LIFE !!! If our creator should act with how powerful he his !! Non of us will be alive !! Despite our iniquities! Life for easy if to say he come with manual !! Nai am out here representing the street!
